The CHEO 50/50 will launch online at cheo5050.ca on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
The first Early Bird Draw valued at $10,000 consists of one draw for a trip for two to Paris and will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Purchase deadline is midnight, Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Winners may transfer their prize. The winning ticket will be included in all subsequent draws.
The second Early Bird Draw valued at $49,926 consists of one draw for a 2024/5 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend from Donnelly Lincoln Ford Ltd. (or $44,130 in cash) and will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Purchase deadline is midnight, Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Winners may transfer their prize. The winning tickets will be included in the Final Draw.
The Final Draw for the 50/50 prize (half the total jackpot) will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. The deadline to purchase is midnight, Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Winners may transfer their prize.
Ticket buyers must be 18 years of age or older.
Ticket buyers must be in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.
Tickets are 10 for $25, 30 for $50, 100 for $100 and 200 for $175.
Tickets will be available at online at cheo5050.ca.
Tickets will be sold using an electronic raffle system supplied by Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited. Tickets can be purchased online (cheo5050.ca) from Wednesday, February 19, 2025, until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited has been contracted for this lottery and is delivering online services.
Ticket buyers will receive their 50/50 ticket numbers by email. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.
The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw.
The winning numbers will be posted at cheo5050.ca the day after each draw. Each winner will be contacted by a CHEO Foundation staff member.
Winners may contact Sarah Larstone, Events Specialist, CHEO Foundation at 613-295-7776 to claim their prize. Winners must have the original winning ticket number and photo identification in order to claim their prize. All winners must agree to the use of their name and photo for publicity purposes by the CHEO Foundation.
The winning ticket holders have six months (from the draw date) to claim their prizes. Once the Final Draw winner is verified, they will be given a cheque or electronic funds transfer in the amount of the declared prize value which is, at minimum, a guarantee of $400,000 or 50 percent of the total amount of ticket sales for the 2025 CHEO 50/50.
Lottery licensing policy stipulates that any prizes not claimed must be secured or placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If at the end of six (6) months the prize has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize must be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.
The following individuals and their immediate family members living at the same address are excluded from purchasing a ticket: CHEO Foundation staff and board members and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to the CHEO 50/50.
